Effects of Hexane Addition in Waste Plastic Fuel-Biodiesel-Diesel Blends on the Performance and Emission Characteristics of DI Diesel Engine

The current study's sole objective is to evaluate the impact of hexane's addition blends diesel, waste plastic fuel, and jatropha biodiesel. Five fuel samples have been made in order do this, including diesel-waste fuel-jatropha biodiesel (D70WPF20JB10 D70WPF10JB20), diesel-hexane-waste (D65HX5WPF20JB10 D65HX5WPF10JB20), plain diesel (D100) as a reference fuel. Following thorough characterization, studies using spectroscopic techniques such FTIR, elemental analysis, GC-MS are conducted. Finally, performance emission tests on direct-injection single-cylinder engine were density, flash point, acid value blend observed decrease with hexane. With hexane, calorific index both rise by 0.86% 12.5%, respectively. In case hexane mix samples, it discovered that brake thermal efficiency volumetric higher brake-specific consumption lower. Hexane added mixture, which results 34 percent HC emissions 9 CO emissions. Additionally, lowers 8% 15%, respectively, temperature exhaust gas fuel's NOx sample code D65HX5WPF10JB20 exhibits best among all terms analyses.
